"Before I start this review I want to preface this by stating that I have been with Statefarm for 25 plus years. I have multiple policies that includes a, home, two cars, and 3 life policies. Prior to recently I have always received great service. Since May of 2024 I have been reaching out to (Marjorie) in reference to my husband’s life insurance policy which expired (how I have no clue) as I have never missed a payment. I have been attempting to resolve the issue since MAY of 2024. I have had excessive payments taken out of my accounts for his specific policy which included a payment of over 1200 dollars which took about a month to receive a refund. I call and leave messages with no response for weeks on end. About a month ago we received a message stating that he would have to complete a physical to acquire a new policy. I was initially told that he would not have to do this. Reminder he has had this policy for many years. After completing the physical they are now saying that they can no longer offer coverage which has left him with no insurance. I am now at a loss of what to do next. Attempting to secure policies in your older years prove to be challenging and extremely costly. I’ll end this by saying that I am extremely disappointed and frustrated! Maybe someone will respond and finally reach out. Again I have been leaving messages for weeks!"

To clarify, the policy in question was a 10-year term life insurance policy, which reached the end of its term in May 2024. As is standard practice, the company sent notifications and conversion options three months prior to the policy’s expiration to provide ample time for action. Marjorie worked closely with you to help secure a new policy for your husband. However, the underwriting process required completing a physical, which is standard for new policies. Despite multiple calls and text reminders, the physical requirements were not completed, and unfortunately, the application expired. At that point, we had no choice but to submit a new application. Regrettably, during the underwriting review of the new application, it was determined that your husband was no longer eligible for coverage. We understand how upsetting and challenging this outcome is, and we truly empathize with your situation. We remain committed to providing the best service possible and are still here to assist you in any way we can. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can explore available options to move forward. "Rating: 5 stars Angela Yancey - State Farm Agent I have the best State Farm agent, Angela Yancey. When my cousins and I learned that our local insurance carrier would no longer offer property and casualty insurance in the District of Columbia, we were very concerned as we needed immediate coverage for our respective properties. "I recently had some issues with the MVA, i tried to compare pricing back in 2022 with another insurance company. Well I then realized that State Farm was much cheaper, mind you I never cancelled my policy with State Farm just in case. However, the insurance company that I tried to get that I though was cheaper filed that I did not have insurance on either of my vehicles since 11/2023. I did not receive any paperwork from the MVA until 2/2024 in reference in needing an FR-19. Jacqueline Lloyd has been helping me get all of this squared away very quickly since my tags expire today. A mild mistake was made but fixed quickly. Highly recommend her to help. She's awesome."
