To clarify, the policy in question was a 10-year term life insurance policy, which reached the end of its term in May 2024. As is standard practice, the company sent notifications and conversion options three months prior to the policy’s expiration to provide ample time for action. Marjorie worked closely with you to help secure a new policy for your husband. However, the underwriting process required completing a physical, which is standard for new policies. Despite multiple calls and text reminders, the physical requirements were not completed, and unfortunately, the application expired. At that point, we had no choice but to submit a new application. Regrettably, during the underwriting review of the new application, it was determined that your husband was no longer eligible for coverage. We understand how upsetting and challenging this outcome is, and we truly empathize with your situation.
